We are starting our summer trip out of Holland, Michigan at Anchorage Marina. With our family life changing so drastically we are not sure which months we will choose to travel on our trawler. For now our thoughts are heading north on Lake Michigan stopping at a few of our favorite ports along the way. Our goal is to spend a good deal of time on Lake Superior this summer, then directing our path back toward Lake Michigan and south into the river system toward the Kentucky/Tennessee region, who knows where we will leave our trawler when it is time to head home. I must admit the portion of the trip I don't look forward to is the part where we have no phone or internet. I do like to keep in touch with family & friends!
We spent about a week in Holland due to it being our old stomping grounds. We had many commitments and a few meetings to wrap up before we head into our adventure. Not to mention family and friends we hope to reconnect with.
